the has been working perfect untill the big steam update and
dirt 2 update... now it wont boot :/

Have you tried to verify the game cache? (right click on game, properties, verify game cache)

tried that and its still not working :/ f*ckin pissing me off :S ... codemasters? more like codenoobers.

I know it's a large game, but tried just getting rid of it and re-downloading the whole thing?

Still having probs? Have you tried the Usual Suspects (update drivers, direct x etc)?

just did a full reinstall and still not working :( .. will try newer directx or downgrade drivers.

Run the game from the dirt2.exe located on Steam\steamapps\common\dirt 2 (it will ask you to install openAL

Install openAL : Go to \Steam\steamapps\common\dirt 2\redist\OpenAL

did this and it started working :D ... weird one like... but its working now :)
